Celebrating Labor Day, Monday, September 7

Labor Day collage featuring ARC team members and the words 'Thank you!'

As we celebrate the holiday on Monday and many take a break from work, at home or in the workplace, ARC recognizes and thanks our physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), and all clinic and support teams who help keep you and our community healthy every day of the year. We are proud to work with such a dedicated, talented, and caring group.

We especially thank our ARC teams working this weekend and Monday in our After Hours Clinics, NormanMD, IT, Central Registration, and other departments, who are taking time away from family and friends to serve those in our community who need medical care and assistance.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once said, "All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence." Labor Day, an American federal holiday designated in 1894, pays tribute to and celebrates the contributions and achievements of the millions of American workers. We continue to be the strength and character of our nation, achieving a climate of opportunity and a force for progress and productivity, even in these challenging times.

Take a moment to think about why we celebrate Labor Day in the first place – to recognize the value of work and all who do it throughout our communities and across the nation.

Enjoy the holiday, however you choose to celebrate. Stay safe and healthy!
