New strength testing equipment at JMC for Occupational Medicine. The Ergometric Strength Testing Unit is used to determine whether or not an employee has the strength to perform a specific job function. It can also be used to identify an employee's maximum strength level--what the employee can safely handle during an eight-hour workday without incurring undue risk and strain. It is used for pre-employment examinations, disability evaluations, work conditioning (progress monitoring) and job redesign.
