PRF FAQs

  • How do PRF treatments work?

PRF treatments take a simple blood draw from your arm, similar to a routine blood test. The collected blood is then processed in a specialized centrifuge to separate the PRF from other blood components. Once the PRF is obtained, it is injected directly to the target area. The growth factors and cytokines in PRF promote the recruitment and proliferation of stem cells, speeding up the healing process and encouraging tissue regeneration.

  • When will I notice the difference, and how long will PRF results last?

After receiving PRF treatment, the results are partially visible immediately and continue to improve for 4-6 weeks.

For best results, PRF treatments are done over a six to eight-week period. Longer-term effects will take treatments over three to four months that typically last six to twelve months.

  • Are PRF results permanent?

Unfortunately, the results of PRF are not permanent. However, these results can be maintained with follow-up treatments. Your medical aesthetics care team will help you come up with a treatment plan that is optimal for maintaining your desired appearance.

  • Do PRF treatments hurt?

Injection needles used for PRF treatments are very small, which normally help avoid major discomfort. The pinching sensation experienced lasts only a short time, allowing you to return to your usual activities without any painful after effects.
