ARC patient flexing his arm after receiving the flu vaccine and the words 'be a FLU FIGHTER!'

Flu and COVID-19 are here. Don't delay your vaccinations.

We are already seeing cases of COVID-19 and flu. Because it can take about two weeks after a shot to build immunity that lasts the whole season, ARC recommends getting vaccinated in September or October. Flu shots are recommended for everyone ages 6 months and up. The COVID-19 vaccination is recommended by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) for all adults ages 19 years and older, especially those at higher risk for severe illness due to underlying conditions, patients over the age of 65, and patients who are pregnant. Both the AAFP and American Academy of Pediatrics recommend COVID-19 vaccination for patients ages 6-23 months. You can receive your flu shot and COVID-19 vaccine at the same time by booking a flu or COVID-19 vaccination appointment or requesting them at your next primary care visit. Your ARC clinic has both vaccines available. Protect yourself and your family.

Request a shot at your next primary care visit.

ARC Pediatrics cares for baby's ultra-rare condition

Marissa's baby Everett is one of less than 50 people in the world fighting an ultra-rare neurodegenerative genetic condition (hexokinase 1 mutation). Because Everett is developmentally delayed and experiences frequent seizures and respiratory challenges, he needed expert pediatric care.

Marissa says ARC Pediatrician Carla Thompson, MD, FAAP, has been the perfect match for Everett's medically complex case, providing coordinated, comprehensive health care. Dr. Thompson can conveniently message Marissa in ARC's MyChart patient portal and host virtual appointments, ensuring Everett receives the care he needs, when he needs it.
