We’re celebrating 45 years of caring!
It’s our 45th anniversary! Since being founded in 1980, we have grown from one clinic with three primary care physicians in Central Austin, to 35 clinics in 15 Central Texas cities, offering both primary and specialty care. We provide health care for about 1 in 4 individuals throughout the region, including generations of families. That’s a big deal!

Avoid an ER visit with ARC After Hours or NormanMD
Did you know an ER visit can cost $500 to $3,000 or more? ARC After Hours Clinics and NormanMD can help you prevent costly ER visits by addressing urgent care issues like sprains, cold and flu, minor burns, and more.
ARC After Hours Clinics with on-site lab and x-ray are open evenings, weekends, and holidays. NormanMD is available 24/7 for virtual urgent care. Both services offer ARC pediatric and adult medicine doctors and advanced practice clinicians (APCs). NormanMD is available by paid subscription or offered as a no-cost benefit by some health plans and employers. At ARC, we’re all connected and part of your care team.

Central Texas keeps away measles with vaccines
The measles outbreak continues to spread in West Texas. Fortunately, there has been no spread of cases in our area, likely due to higher vaccination rates. The few reported cases in the Austin area were not associated with the outbreak. For those who are not vaccinated, measles can still pose a risk and can easily spread through close contact at school, work, and during travel. Schedule an appointment to ensure you’re up to date on all your vaccines.

What to expect at a Medicare Wellness visit
We often get questions about what happens during Medicare Wellness visits and how they differ from physical exams. The Medicare Wellness visit focuses on reviewing your medical history and medications, discussing potential risks, and talking about how best to maintain or improve your quality of life. It’s an annual appointment for patients with Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage.
