About Nitika Mimani, MD

  • Dr. Mimani was born in Nepal and came to the United States in 2009. When she’s not working, Dr. Mimani enjoys eating out with her husband and daughter and says, “what better place than Austin with its varied food scene!” She also loves reading, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to become a doctor. I chose pediatrics, as working with kids brings immense joy to me, and I am grateful that now I wake up each morning and get to do what I love to do! I truly believe in working with parents as partners in taking care of their children. As a parent myself, I approach each child as I would my own. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with the parents, with the mutual goal being the well-being of the children.

The nurse that took me and my son back was so gentle with him and helpful with getting us a diaper. She calmed him when getting his oxygen- she was great! The doctor listened to my concerns, did a culture which I appreciated, and preemptively ordered a prescription for me. Saving me the hassle of multiple trips to confirm a diagnosis and get treatment. Really enjoyed this visit!

I didn't realize my appointment was booked at the wrong location. The staff was extremely sweet and very helpful getting a very sleep deprived couple and their 3 day old into an immediate appointment. Then everyone from front desk, nursing, MD, labs was amazing so grateful for their help.

Dr. Mimani was very understanding of our situation with having to move states with our young babies and gave my children the best care they needed. She listened to us and gave such great recommendations to helping our children succeed in growing up.
