Dr. Parsons grew up in central Kentucky. She has a special interest within her practice for LGBTQIA+ medicine, gender health medicine, and sexual health. When she is not working, Dr. Parsons is out trying to explore all that Austin has to offer. Being relatively new to the city, she says “there’s a lot to find!” At home, Dr. Parsons enjoys cuddling with her corgi, and cooking. She is on the lookout for new favorite places!
I love family medicine because we have the opportunity to be a huge part of our patients’ lives, not just their health. Family Medicine is so much more than treating conditions – sometimes the most powerful medicine we can ever give is just our time and to let our patients know a friend is listening. I believe my job as a physician is to simply give all the best information I can to allow my patient to make the best decision about their health. The doctor-patient relationship works best when it is a partnership. I am particularly interested in LGBTQIA+ and Gender Health medicine, and I continue to grow and learn with the assistance of all my patients in this community.
