About Chau B. Nguyen, DO

  • Dr. Nguyen grew up in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) in Vietnam. When he is not working, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, working on his herbal/fruit gardens, catching up with Continuing Medical Education (CME), “random YouTube video bingeing,” and martial arts. Being relatively new to Central Texas, he looks forward to exploring the area and all it has to offer.

Growing up and seeing the suffering of patients in Vietnam due to limited resources, knowledge, and insurance structure, I wanted to help as a doctor. Internal Medicine gives me the opportunity to provide comprehensive and holistic solutions for each patient. We were taught that 60-70% of the useful information is from the clinical story, but I believe such information is from listening to patients, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and creating a shared solution that will work for the individual.

I am disappointed with this office because my wife also had a doctor at this office but he retired and none of the doctors at this office would take her on because none of them want to prescribe medication like her former doctor and has made it extremely difficult for her and left her without her necessary medication.

Everyone was so friendly and took the time for me to explain exactly what was happening. The doctor was amazing with his bedside care! You could tell he was very interested in doing everything he could to help you understand and teach you something!

Dr. Nguyen spent more time discussing my concerns than any doctor I’ve sought advice from. I am very reassured with the counsel he gave me.
