Don’t Forget Your Well Child Check Ups
June 12, 2017
A well-check exam should be an annual event in your child’s life. A well-check exam, also known as a well-care, well-baby, or well-child check-up, focuses on maintaining your child’s health and is a time to discuss preventive care with your child’s pediatrician.
Dr. Helena Gonzalez, Pediatrician at ARC Far West, has a simple suggestion to help you remember to plan that visit. She says, “I recommend scheduling the check-up close to your child’s birthday as an easy way to remember each year.”
In this recent segment of the ARC Healthcare Minute on KLBJ New Radio 590AM/99FM, (now available on podcast) Dr. Gonzalez says, “It’s important to get an annual well-child check up to review how your child’s growth and development is progressing.”
If it is getting close to your child’s birthday, don’t forget to schedule their well-check exam. You can make an appointment to see Dr. Gonzalez at ARC Far West, either online or by calling 512-346-6611.
