Team-Based Approach to Care

Austin Regional Clinic is pleased to announce that Maheshwardeep “Sam” Singh, DO, has joined the Family Medicine team at ARC Kyle Plum Creek.

Dr. Singh says he chose family medicine because he enjoys cultivating relationships with his patients, seeing the whole family unit together, and seeing a wide variety of medical cases.

“I was drawn to family medicine even before I attended medical school,” he adds.

Patients are part of the team

When asked about his approach to treating patients and their families, Dr. Singh says “I employ a team-based approach to practicing medicine. This applies to me, the physician, the P.A., nurse, M.A., and also the patient.” He adds “My patients are part of my team, and thus are involved in decision-making and weighing options. I firmly believe in the patient’s ability to make the right decision, as well as to take on the responsibility of improving their health.”

When asked about his health tip, Dr. Singh says “Be physically active for 30 minutes or more most days of the week. Break this up into three 10-minute sessions when pressed for time. Healthy movement may include brisk walking, sports, dancing, yoga, running, or other activities you enjoy!”

Dr. Singh grew up in Chicago, “Cubs territory!” Being relatively new to Central Texas, he looks forward to exploring all the area has to offer, and possibly finding pizza as good as “Pequod’s Pizza (in Chicago) for the best deep-dish experience!”

Dr. Singh is currently accepting new patients. If you would like to make an appointment with him, call ARC Kyle Plum Creek at 512-295-1333.

Welcome to Austin Regional Clinic, Dr. Singh!
