Screen Time Guidelines For Kids

There are healthy screen time limits for children, and they do vary with age. “Technology is a great resource for learning and entertainment,” said Dr. Sapna ShahPediatrician at ARC Anderson Mill in this recent podcast of the ARC Healthcare Minute. “However, too much screen time can increase anxiety and depression, and can lead to behavioral problems.”

ARC Pediatrics follows the guidelines put forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics in regard to screen time limits for children. Dr. Shah addresses the limits for younger children in this podcast. Ultimately, she says, “The key is to ensure your child has healthy sleeping, eating, and playing habits.”
