“It’s Concerning,” Says ARC Pediatrician About the High Risk of Measles

Dr. Michael GennrichPediatrician at ARC Quarry Lake, spoke with KEYE-TV about the high risk of a measles outbreak in Travis County. “It’s concerning,” he says in the interview. “As a pediatrician, I get asked about it every day, and I just hope the tide turns on vaccination rates."

A new study showsTravis County is one of 25 counties in the United States at high risk for a measles outbreak, due to high unvaccinated rates and that Austin has an international airport.
