Honoring Our Veterans – a Message from ARC Management

Sunday, November 11, is Veteran’s Day, the day we Americans set aside to honor, salute, and thank the past and present men and women who have served and are serving our country in many venues and in many ways. We don’t know them all, but we owe them all.

Our nation’s veterans represent the best of America. Generation after generation, men and women have answered the call to defend our country and our freedom, facing danger and uncertainty with uncommon courage. They make tremendous sacrifices by leaving their families to serve throughout the homeland and in combat, contingency, and humanitarian operations worldwide. The Veterans Administration estimates that more than 1.6 million Texans are veterans who have served and are serving in wartime and peacetime. More than 252,000 of those veterans live among us in Central Texas. Their service makes the world a better place.

Among those are employees of our organization, and it is our privilege to recognize and thank them and their families, along with all others who serve and have served. Thank you.

November 11 of each year is the day that we ensure veterans – from the oldest to the men and women currently serving our nation, in our organization and throughout our country – and their families know that we deeply appreciate the sacrifices they have made to keep our country free.

This year, President Trump has designated November 2018 as National Veterans and Military Families Month. All Americans should acknowledge and honor the service, sacrifices, and contributions of veterans and military families for what they have done and what they do every day.

Join us in thanking the veterans you know, not only this Veterans Day, but every day. Those five words – Thank you for your service – will mean so much.
