Creating Empowered Children
August 29, 2019
Austin Regional Clinic is pleased to announce that Sunaina Suhag, MD, Pediatrician, has joined the team at ARC Cedar Park.
Dr. Suhag says that she chose to become a pediatrician because of her belief that long-term wellness starts in childhood. She continues, “A child’s wellness is dependent upon every aspect of their life; physical, emotional, educational, and interpersonal health are equally important.”
Team Work Makes the Dream Work
Dr. Suhag says her approach to caring for patients is geared toward empowerment. She says, “I approach care visits as a team, where you and your child are both actively involved in healthcare decisions. This creates well-rounded, wellness-empowered children with the confidence to transition into autonomous, healthy adults!”
In her free time, this Plano, Texas native has many interests. She says, “You might find me performing improv comedy at the local theater, teaching or practicing yoga, bouldering at the climbing gym, or teaching improv to neurodiverse or homeless youth around town.”
Dr. Suhag has this health tip for her patients and their families: “Never be afraid to ask questions if you don’t understand your child’s medical issues. Health and wellness is all about learning!”
