Chronic Foot Pain – Could It Be Hammertoe?

With help, you can walk easy.

A hammertoe occurs when there is a muscle and ligament imbalance around the toe joint which causes the middle joint of the toe to bend and become stuck in this position. This potentially serious condition can happen to any toe and cannot get better without some kind of intervention.

ARC Podiatrist Dr. Carlos Romero discusses hammertoe detection and treatment on KLBJ News Radio Tuesday morning on the ARC Healthcare Minute. Dr. Romero tells patients “Hammertoes can often lead to chronic foot pain so it’s important to consult a podiatrist early to have it diagnosed.”

To hear Dr. Romero discuss hammertoe treatment, tune into the ARC Healthcare Minute on KLBJ News Radio 590AM/99FM this Tuesday, September 8, at 7:29am and 8:29am.
