Causes and symptoms of uterine prolapse

“Uterine prolapse occurs when the muscles and tissues in a woman’s pelvis weaken, letting the uterus drop down into the pelvis,” said Dr. Guy V. Blumhagen, Gynecologist at ARC Seton Northwest, in this recent podcast of the ARC Healthcare Minute.
Dr. Blumhagen discussed some of the symptoms of uterine prolapse, saying, and “Some symptoms include leakage of urine, fullness in the pelvis, bulging, lower back pain, and constipation.” He adds, “If you experience any of these symptoms and think you might have uterine prolapse, please visit your gynecologist to get a correct diagnosis and treatment plan.”
