September 11, 2019
Austin Regional Clinic is happy to announce that Kiran Chaudhry, MD, Internal Medicine physician, has joined the team at ARC Far West.
Dr. Chaudhry says the she chose to become a physician for the rewards - not money, but experience! She says, “The medical profession helps an individual to impact other people in compassionate and positive ways. As a primary care physician, one can develop and enjoy long term relationships with patients while promoting health and minimizing illness. I believe that is a very rewarding experience and that is why I chose this career and specialty.”
Building Bonds Through Compassionate Care and Strong Communication
Dr. Chaudhry goes on to explain her philosophy of practice. She says, “I strive to provide personalized care focused on prevention and management of chronic illnesses. My aim is to build bonds with my patients through compassionate care and strong communication.”
Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Chaudhry enjoys her time here in Central Texas. In her free time, she says she likes to spend time with her family, including two sons. She also likes working out and just being active.
In fact, Dr. Chaudhry preaches what she practices! When asked her favorite health tip, she responds, “Exercise is vital to health. Studies have shown that in healthy middle aged adults, fitness is significantly associated with a lower risk of developing chronic disease outcomes. Studies also suggested that higher midlife fitness may be associated with compression of morbidity in older age.”
