December 06, 2016
Austin Regional Clinic employees and patients collectively donated the most coats and cash to the annual Coats For Kids Campaign, Large Business Category,as announced by the campaign organizers. “We were blown away by the dedication and commitment displayed through your (ARC’s) efforts,” said Tima Brown and Kelly Benzon, Coats for Kids Coat Drive Coordinators, 2016-17. “We cannot thank you enough for your support,” they continued.
Coats for Kids, co-sponsored by Jack Brown Cleaners and the Junior League of Austin in conjunction with KVUE and KVET, annually collects coats to give to underserved children in Central Texas. The 2016 Community Coat Drive provided over 35,000 coats, surpassing previous coat drive donations. ARC contributed 854 coats.
“Our success this year continues an ARC tradition of employee activities designed to support local charities, said Bob Martin, Vice President of Human Resources. “Even more exciting, and not surprising, our employees rose to the challenge and boosted ARC to be the Coats for Kids Large Business category winner. Just another way ARC and its employees care for our community!”
ARC and the other categories’ winners will be recognized and thanked on KVET radio’s morning show Wednesday, December 7, between 6:30-9:30 a.m. Coats will be distributed by the Junior League and volunteers on Saturday, December 10. Congratulations and thanks to ARC employees!
