Working with Parents to Care for Children

Austin Regional Clinic is pleased to announce that Nitika Soni, MD, Pediatrician, has joined the team at ARC Southwest.  Born in Nepal, Dr. Soni came to the U.S. in 2009 and has lived all over the country. Very happy to be in Austin, she says, “My husband, my daughter, and I love it here!”

Of being a physician, Dr. Soni says, “I had always wanted to become a doctor since I was little and I am grateful that now I wake up each morning and get to do what I love to do!!” She adds, “I chose Pediatrics because working with kids brings me immense joy.”

Partnering With Parents

When asked to describe her approach to practicing medicine, Dr. Soni shares, “I truly believe in working with parents as partners in taking care of the children. As a parent myself, I approach each child as I would my own.” She adds, “I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with the parents with the mutual goal being the well-being of kids.”

In her free time, Dr. Soni says she and her family love eating out, adding, “And what better place than Austin with its varied food scene!”

When asked her favorite health tip for children AND parents, she says, “Off the couch, away from the screen!!”

Dr. Soni is currently welcoming new patients. To make an appointment with Dr. Soni, go online or call ARC Southwest at 512-282-8967.
