When to Seek Treatment for an Ingrown Toenail

Ingrown toenails are relatively common problem; many of us suffer from them at one time or another. The causes can range from heredity to poorly fitting shoes to cutting your toenails incorrectly. But, Dr. Carlos Romero, a Podiatrist at ARC South 1st Specialty says,” If the nail breaks the skin or if the pain is severe, it could be a sign of an infection.”
