Treating Severe Ankle Sprains
September 17, 2018
“Ankle sprains most often occur while exercising, walking, running, or stepping awkwardly off a sidewalk or step,” says Dr. Daniel T. Halloran, Podiatrist at ARC Cedar Park Medical Plaza. In this recent podcast of the ARC Healthcare Minute, Dr. Halloran discusses both the causes and treatment of ankle sprains.
He says, “Left untreated, a sprain can lead to long-term injury.” Treatment can vary, depending on the severity of the problem. But Dr. Halloran says, “If you have a severe sprain, I recommend you contact a podiatrist for diagnosis and treatment.”
