Relationships Built on Trust Are the Goal for This Pediatrician

Austin Regional Clinic is pleased to announce that Amy M. Hunt, DO, Pediatrician, has joined the team at ARC Hutto. Dr. Hunt has been in Austin ever since she did her residency here in 2010. She says she fell in love with the area and decided to stay, just as she fell in love with the idea of becoming a pediatrician many years ago! She says, “As long as I can remember, I have always had a special place in my heart for children.“

In particular, Dr. Hunt says she enjoys working with children and their families. “As a pediatrician I have the privilege of walking alongside families through the most exciting and challenging seasons of life. This opportunity cultivates deep and meaningful relationships built on trust. My goal is to provide relevant, evidence based medicine in an environment where children feel cherished and parents feel their voices are heard.”

When not at work, Dr. Hunt enjoys family time. She says, “I love spending time with my husband and two children. We spend a lot of time outdoors, running, biking, kayaking, basically anything we can do outdoors together. I am often found cheering loudly on the sidelines of my sons’ sporting events. On Sundays you will find us in church with our family.”

Dr. Hunt has some great suggestions when it comes to children and healthy eating. She says, “One of the best ways to have your children learn about healthy food choices is to encourage them to cook with you. Let them get involved in the entire process, from planning the menus, to shopping for ingredients, to the actual food preparation and its serving. It is wonderful when families eat together as much as possible.”
