New ARC Rheumatologist stresses positive impact

Impacting every patient’s health in a positive way is the goal of Austin Regional Clinic’s newest rheumatologist, Dr. Sonia Yousuf

Dr. Yousuf says as a third-year medical student, she rotated through Rheumatology and was impressed by the compassion and knowledge of rheumatologists and was touched by RA and Lupus patients.  That led her to choose Rheumatology as her specialty.

“My philosophy of care is to impact every patient’s health in a positive way, every time I see them,” says Dr. Yousuf.

Growing up and graduating from medical school in Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Yousuf completed her internship and residency in Baltimore, MD.  As a new Austin resident , she especially enjoys Lake Travis and spending time with her family, in addition to activities such as cooking, reading, walking, and yoga.

Dr. Yousuf is accepting new patients at ARC Southwest. You can request an appointment online or call ARC at 512-272-4636.
