Dr. Romy Ghosh

Knowledge is Power Believes This ARC Doctor

Austin Regional Clinic welcomes Dr. Romy Ghosh, Obstetrics/Gynecology (Ob/Gyn), to the team at ARC Medical Park Tower. Dr. Ghosh was born in Illinois, but moved to Austin early in life. She says, “I went to elementary through high school in the Austin area and I’m very excited to finally be coming back!”

Of her choice to become an Ob/Gyn, Dr. Ghosh says, “I minored in Women’s Studies in college, which kindled a passion for women’s health issues. Going into a career that supported both my passion for medicine and women’s health seemed to be the perfect fit.”

Dr. Ghosh believes that an informed patient is a powerful patient. She says, “I think one of the most frustrating things for patients is not understanding their diagnoses or treatment options. I firmly believe that education is a huge part of my job as a physician and its one of the aspects I enjoy the most about my job. Knowledge is power!”

“When I’m not at work, I’m playing with my newly adopted dachshund, knitting, or reading a good book!” shares Dr. Ghosh. “My favorite central Texas spot is Mozart’s Coffee Roasters on Lake Austin Blvd.”

Asked what her health tip is for her patients, Dr. Ghosh replies, “If you are unhappy with your current form of contraception, talk to your provider about it! There is not one best birth control method; however there is a birth control method that is best for you, and it is our job as providers to make sure we help you figure it out.”

To make an appointment with Dr. Ghosh, go online, or call ARC Medical Park Tower Ob at 512-451-0161.
