How to Tell if Your Digestive Issues Are “Normal”?
April 09, 2018
Everyone suffers from indigestion at some point in their life. In fact, Dr. Lilah S. Mansour, Gastroenterologist, ARC Far West Medical Tower, says, “Occasional indigestion, cramping, and acid reflux are normal and relatively common.” But, she continues, “Persistent or regular discomfort isn’t normal and can be a symptom of a more severe condition.”
In this recent podcast, Dr. Mansour asked two questions; “Do you also have abdominal pain or a change in your bowel habits? Are your symptoms occurring more often or lasting more than three weeks?” She says, if you answer yes to either of these, it’s time to see a doctor.
If you would like to make an appointment with Dr. Mansour to discuss your digestive issues, you can do so online or by calling ARC Far West Medical Tower at 512-346-8888.
