How to Remember to Schedule Your Well Check
June 11, 2018
Happy well child exam to you! While that doesn’t quite roll off the tongue like “happy birthday to you”, Dr. Helena C. Gonzalez, Pediatrician at ARC Far West, gives her families this suggestion, “I recommend scheduling your check-up close to your child’s birthday as an easy way to remember each year.”
A well-check exam should be an annual event in your child’s life. A well-check exam, also known as a well-care, well-baby, or well-child check-up, focuses on maintaining your child’s health and is a time to discuss preventive care with your child’s pediatrician. It is also a great time to complete physical forms needed for extracurricular activities.
In this recent podcast of the ARC Healthcare Minute Dr. Gonzalez says, “It’s important to get an annual well-child check up to review how your child’s growth and development is progressing.”
If it is getting close to your child’s birthday, don’t forget to schedule their well-check exam. You can make an appointment to see Dr. Gonzalez at ARC Far West, either online or by calling 512-346-6611.
