Healthy Steps Lead to Baby Steps

If you are contemplating getting pregnant, Dr. Bernard Lynch, an Ob/Gyn at ARC Medical Park Tower has some advice on what steps couples should take before conceiving.

First and foremost, Dr. Lynch tells both parents to “get healthy.” He recommends that prospective parents “maintain a healthy weight and eat healthy.” In this recent podcast, Dr. Lynch explains the role that weight and nutrition play in the fertility of soon-to-be parents.

He also suggests that couples schedule an appointment with their doctor about three months before they start trying. Dr. Lynch says it’s best to “discuss your health and any risk factors you might have like high blood pressure or high cholesterol.”

If you are thinking about having a baby, Dr. Lynch is currently accepting new patients at ARC Medical Park Tower. Call 512-451-0161 or go online to schedule an appointment today.
