April 21, 2017
“The idea of eating healthy can be overwhelming, but here is one easy way to eat a little healthier,” advises Dr. Merlin J. Abraham, Family Medicine physician at ARC Pflugerville. “Think about portion size!” Dr. Abraham wants you to know about this, and some other simple tricks to use that can help you eat a little healthier.
In this recent segment of the ARC Healthcare Minute on KLBJ New Radio 590AM/99FM, (now available on podcast) Dr. Abraham details how to judge portion size using just your hand. She says, “One serving of meat, poultry or fish should be about 3 ounces. That’s about the size of your palm.”
