Dr. Michael de Lota - Family Medicine

For New ARC Doctor, Helping Others is a Privilege

A passion for helping others runs in the family for Austin Regional Clinic’s newest family medicine physician, Dr. Michael de Lota.

Dr. de Lota says he learned from his father, a now-retired anesthesiologist, and mother, a registered nurse, that helping others is a privilege. And he took the lesson seriously when considering what medical specialty to focus on.

“I have made it my life’s goal to serve others in their times of need,” said Dr. de Lota. “I chose Family Medicine because I believe that most chronic illness is preventable and medicine should be a proactive and not a reactive practice. Family Medicine is the perfect marriage of this value.”

Growing up in Austin, TX, it is no surprise that Dr. de Lota bleeds burnt orange. He is a year-round Longhorn fan. When not running around Lady Bird Lake, you will likely find him cheering on the UT Longhorns at football, baseball, or basketball games.

Dr. de Lota is accepting new patients at ARC Kyle Plum Creek. You can request an appointment online or call ARC at 512-272-4636.
