Fall Means Football and Flu

Fall in Texas means football and flu. Dr. Serena HonFamily Medicine physician at ARC Wilson Parke says “As you watch your team fight for a win, you can fight for your health. Get a flu shot.”

Dr. Hon explains, “Seasonal influenza, or the flu, is a serious contagious disease that affects the nose, throat, and lungs. It carries a risk of serious complications, hospitalization, or death, even among otherwise healthy children and adults.”

“Last year,” Dr. continues, “The flu vaccine helped to prevent an estimated 90,000 flu hospitalizations –enough fans to fill most of the UT football stadium.” Dr. Hon is currently accepting new patients at ARC Wilson Parke. Call 737-247-7200 or make an appointment online.
