Establishing a Bedtime Routine for Children
October 09, 2017
“Sleep is important for all of us,” says Dr. Shana Godfred-Cato, Pediatrician at ARC Kyle Plum Creek. More importantly, the lack of sleep in children can negatively affect their ability to focus, learn, and even develop. Dr. Godfred-Cato adds, “If you have kids, you know the more sleep they get, the more sleep you get.”
In this recent podcast, Dr. Godfred-Cato offers some sound advice for a sound sleep. She reminds all parents that “A bedtime routine is a good way to establish good sleep habits.” Listen to this podcast to hear some of her suggestions for establishing a bedtime routine.
Dr. Cato sees children from newborns on up, with a special interest in teen health and adolescent medicine, seeing patients until they are 18 years of age. If you would like to discuss your child’s sleep habits with Dr. Godfred-Cato, you can make an appointment online or by calling ARC Kyle Plum Creek at 512-295-1333.
