Establish a Health Baseline
April 08, 2019
Annual checkups, or physicals, are an important part maintaining a relationship with your doctor and receiving individualized counseling based on your family health history and your lifestyle. Dr. Merlin “Joji” Abraham, Family Medicine physician at ARC Pflugerville, encourages everyone to get an annual physical.
Dr. Abraham says that even if you are healthy and not experiencing any issues, the physical can help “establish a baseline from which to measure your health annually.” And, if you do have risk factors, such as a family history of high blood pressure or cholesterol, “regular visits and screenings can help identify a problem early on.”
Dr. Abraham discusses the many reasons to get an annual physical on the ARC Healthcare Minute on KLBJ News Radio 590AM/99FM. Listen to the podcast at the link above.
If it’s time for your annual physical, call Dr. Abraham at ARC Pflugerville at 512-989-2680 or make an appointment online.
