Science and compassion are key

We are pleased to announce that Grace C. Yu, MD, Pediatrician, has joined the team at ARC Cedar Park.

Dr. Yu says she was drawn to Pediatrics because of the qualities that children possess, like imagination, resilience and hopefulness. She says, “Medicine is an art that combines the magic of science and the gentleness of human compassion. To me, there is nothing more special than having the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with families and to guide the physical, emotional, and spiritual growth of a child from infancy to young adulthood.”

Getting to know each patient

When discussing her approach to the practice of Pediatrics, Dr. Yu says, “My priority is to partner with each family to meet their child’s unique personality and medical needs while practicing evidence-based medicine.” She adds, “I seek to become a trusted advisor and friend to families for many years to come, one who truly listens and spends time getting to know each patient.”

“Being a parent is hard work! If you have children, be sure to take time for your own health and relationships,” advises Dr. Yu. “As the adage goes, “Happy parents, happy kids!”

In her free time, Dr. Yu likes family time. She also says, “You can usually find me cooking, sipping on milk tea, watching Disney movies, cheering on the Dallas Mavericks, or exploring the area outdoors and food scene.”

This Texas native says one of her favorite central Texas locales is Mount Bonnell in Austin. Dr. Yu explains, “This is where my husband proposed! We return often to enjoy the beautiful views of the Austin hills, water, and city skyline.”
