Preventing Future Disease
September 24, 2019
Austin Regional Clinic is pleased to announce that Grace C. Averitt, DO, has joined the Pediatrics team at ARC Kelly Lane.
Dr. Averitt says that she was drawn to medicine early because she liked the investigative aspect of it. She says, “I was initially intrigued with medicine as a career when I discovered the possibility that I could use investigative skills in order to help diagnose, treat, and help people.”
She adds, “I was drawn to Pediatric medicine because I love being able to play a role in preventing future disease by laying the groundwork with parents and their children early.”
Good Advice Can Change a Child’s Life
When asked about her approach to treating patients and their families, Dr. Averitt responds, “I enjoy sharing the most updated guidelines and research with families, in addition to my own practical advice from being a mother myself.”
She expounds on this when giving this tip to all parents, “Pediatrics is a great field because kids are so malleable and resilient. Good advice and direction can change the whole course of a child’s life.” And adults, too!
Originally from Norman, Oklahoma, Dr. Averitt says she enjoys jogging with her dog, playing with her daughter, and, “All the local eateries! I’ve never lived in Central Texas before, but my family has, and I’m excited to explore all it has to offer!
Dr. Averitt is currently accepting new patients. If you would like to make an appointment with her, go online or call ARC Round Rock at 512-244-9024
