ARC Tops 2017 Coats for Kids campaign!

For the second year in a row, Austin Regional Clinic employees and patients collectively donated the most coats and cash to the annual Coats For Kids Campaign, Large Business Category. Thanks to your generosity and support, ARC was able to donate 350 coats to those in need in Central Texas.

Coats for Kids, co-sponsored by Jack Brown Cleaners and the Junior League of Austin in conjunction with KVUE and KVET, annually collects coats to give to underserved children in Central Texas. The 2017 Community Coat Drive collected 35,461 warm winter coats to be distributed this month.

“It’s very special to see the continued support of such a great charity drive.” said Robert Martin, Vice President of Human Resources. “ARC makes it a point to encourage all our employees & patients to support local charities and that really shines through in our commitment this year.”

ARC and the other categories’ winners were recognized today on KVET radio’s morning show, live-cast from Rudy’s BBQ in north Austin. Coats will be distributed by the Junior League and volunteers on Saturday, December 9. Congratulations and a special thanks to all ARC employees & patients!
