ARC Opens First Same-Day, After Hours Care Facility in Cedar Park
ARC Now Clinic Available for Minor Illness and Injury Every Day of the Week
May 01, 2017
May 1, 2017 – Austin, Texas – Austin Regional Clinic’s first stand-alone clinic offering same-day and after hours care is now fully open. Called ARC Now Clinic at Cedar Park, the location provides immediate treatment for minor emergencies for adults and children including fractures, sprains, colds and flu, minor burns, ear infections, seasonal allergies, and more. As an added service, ARC Now Clinic also offers Sports and Musculoskeletal Medicine and Orthopedics on weekdays.
ARC Now Clinic is open seven days a week including weekday evenings. Physicians on staff include Urgent Care Medicine specialists Enas Pruitt, MD, and Aveen Zachariah, D.O.; Sports and Musculoskeletal Specialist, Brandon Zinn, D.O.; and Orthopedist Matthew Driscoll, M.D.
“We know that many illnesses or injuries seen in an emergency room are non-emergencies. By offering same day care every day of the week, we’re helping people get the care they need at a substantially lower cost,” said ARC Now Clinic Manager Darlene Guynes.
On average, people can save up to 90-percent of the cost of care when using an after hours or same-day care center versus a hospital-based emergency room.
ARC Now Clinic offers on-site radiology, including digital imaging, and lab services. Braces and casts for broken bones can also be provided. For more information, including to book an appointment, call 512-259-3467.
ARC Now Clinic is located at 801 E. Whitestone Blvd., Building B, Suites 100-101, in what is increasingly known as a “medical hub” of Cedar Park, Leander and surrounding communities. Across the parking lot in Building C is the two-story, 20,000-square-foot ARC Cedar Park, which relocated and reopened in December 2016. With 52 exam rooms, two treatment rooms and a lab, the clinic offers Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Extensivist services to patients ranging from newborns to seniors. ARC Cedar Park and ARC Now Clinic can refer to specialists in allergy/asthma; audiology; dermatology; ear nose and throat; general surgery; and obstetrics/gynecology at nearby ARC Cedar Park Medical Plaza.
The Cedar Park investments are a reflection of a rapidly growing community, explained Guynes. Since 2010, the population has increased nearly 40-percent.
“Providing the full scope of medical needs from primary care to specialty care to same-day care is an important way we can help maintain a healthy and rapidly growing Cedar Park community,” Guynes said.
The new ARC Now Clinic expands ARC’s network of primary and specialty care clinics, which today spans three counties and serves 454,000 patients.
