About Patrick C. Nolan, MD, PhD

  • Dr. Nolan grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Austin with his wife, also a Midwesterner, over 17 years ago “to find a warmer spot.” In his free time, Dr. Nolan enjoys playing music and building musical instruments, as well as other woodworking projects.

I chose medicine because I was inspired as a child by my pediatrician. I found my specialty while doing research in neuroscience as an undergraduate, which eventually developed into a PhD thesis. Neurology is a field of medicine that involves a holistic approach to the health of the patient. I enjoy approaching the care of my patient and their often complex medical issues by trying to understand their problem and improving their systems.
