Jay R. Zdunek, DO, MBA, serves as Chief Medical Officer for Austin Regional Clinic. Dr. Zdunek's responsibilities include providing leadership to ARC physicians and clinicians, peer review/quality measurements, and as part of the senior management team for strategic decision-making. Dr. Zdunek also serves as Chairman of the ARC Executive Board. With over 30 years of healthcare and business experience, Dr. Zdunek represents ARC to other medical groups in the community, region, and nation.
Dr. Zdunek received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medical Services from the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH, and an MBA in Health Care from George Washington University, Washington, DC. He received his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago, IL, and is Board Certified in Osteopathic Family Practice.
Dr. Zdunek is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Physician Executives.
Community Leadership and Volunteering
Prior to joining ARC, Dr. Zdunek was an active member of his local church parish in Pennsylvania, a Team and School physician for his school district, and involved in conservation and promotion of outdoor activities.
