Austin Regional Clinic supports health care goals in the Greater Austin Community both by providing health care to individuals, and also by contributing to and participating in programs that focus on improving health conditions for EVERYONE in the ten communities we serve through medical care, screenings, research or education. 2018 Austin Powwow and American Indian Heritage Festival

ARC was honored to be the first medical group to be invited as a vendor for the 27th Annual Austin Powwow & American Indian Heritage Festival, the largest, single-day Native American Powwow in the country.

October Walk with a Doc – Manor

On Saturday, October 20, Dr. Jacqueline M. Champlain, and Dr. Farron C. Hunt, both Family Medicine physicians at ARC Manor, led a group in a Walk with a Doc (WWAD) event at Manor High School. Also joining in the fun were neighbors Dr. Liz Montero, DMD and Dr. Swetha Sama, DMD, both from Manor Kids Dentist who handed out new toothbrushes to all the walkers so they could switch out after a cold this season.

Heart Walk

Did you know that someone in this country dies from heart disease, stroke or another cardiovascular disease every 43 seconds? Four teams and more than 60 ARC employees, as well as friends and family, took to the Austin streets to work to change that on Saturday, October 20, at the 2018 Austin Heart & Stroke Walk organized by the American Heart Association.

Manor Sports Physicals Day

In cooperation with Manor ISD, physicians and staff from ARC Manor conducted sports physicals for student athletes on July 28, 2018. Dr. Jacqueline M. Champlain, Family Medicine physician, and Dr. Jacques Benun, Pediatrician, both with ARC Manor, saw 50+ student athletes and parents at the Manor Mustangs field house in one day. They were assisted by clinical and support staff from ARC Manor. Dr. Champlain afterwards described the day as “amazing!” ARC Manor offers Family Medicine and Pediatric doctors who can take care of your whole family, from newborns to adults – and they are always accepting new patients! Manor ISD School Resource Fair

The 18th Annual Manor ISD School Resource Fair & School Supply Distribution Event was held Friday, Aug. 17. This event provides free school supplies to Manor ISD families who attend. There were also free haircuts and information about resources from the Manor and Austin communities. At their booth, the staff from ARC Manor joined the fun by offering games and health information. The 500+ attendees were encouraged to donate 2-3 canned food items to help replenish the Manor ISD Food Pantry.

27th Annual Travis County Walk/Alzheimer’s Texas Walk

The 27th Annual Travis County Walk/Alzheimer’s Texas Walk was held on October 6 at Camp Mabry. The Alzheimer’s Texas Walk is a meaningful way to share in a morning of building awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders and advancing the mission of Alzheimer’s Texas. Best of all, 100% of funds raised stay local!

Lake Travis High School Homecoming Parade & Extravaganza

The 2018 Lake Travis High School (LTHS) Homecoming Parade & Extravaganza was held on October 3 in the parking lot between Main Campus and Cavalier Stadium. Sponsored by the LTHS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), this dynamic community event was an unforgettable Lake Travis experience for all attendees all the while raising funds to support teachers and students through the LTHS PTO.

Pflugerville Pfamily Pfestival 2018

The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce hosted its 18th Annual Pfamily Pfestival and Expo on Saturday, September 29 in Pflugerville, Texas. This hugely popular event features more than 80 vendor booths, entertainment, food, children's activities, and tons of fun!

Seton Northwest sponsored a different type of tailgate--a Men's Health Tailgate, on Saturday, September 29, 2018! This event did offer a (healthy) tailgate buffet, but there were also free health screenings and biometric measurements tailored toward men.

The 2018 Bella Colinas Oktoberfest/Fall Festival, sponsored by the Bella Colinas HOA, is a fun-filled family event that includes kids’ activities, lots of good food, and general bonhomie between neighbors and businesses from the area.

Family Fun Fair

ARC Pflugerville joined Casey’s Circle and Round Rock Parks & Rec AIR (Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation) for a fun day at the Play for All Park in Round Rock on September 22.  The park was closed to the public, and open only to families of children with special needs for a Family Fun Fair.

Walk with a Doc – Manor

On Saturday, September 8, Dr. Jacqueline Champlain, Family Medicine physician at ARC Manor, led a group in a Walk with a Doc (WWAD) event at Manor High School. Dr. Champlain said, “Our first WWAD in Manor was a success! We had a great group of local walkers!”

Championship Hearts Teen Heart Screenings

Over the course of the summer, ARC teamed up with Championship Hearts Foundation (CHF) to provide free heart screenings in Texas for teen athletes, marching band, cheer and drill team members, and any student ages 14 to 18

Manor 4th of July Parade and Festival

Manor’s annual July 4th festival includes music, a parade, food trucks and no ‘booming’ fireworks, a special consideration to local veterans who may suffer from the effects of PTSD. ARC Manor was proud to support the family event and celebrate America’s birthday with its friends and neighbors.

SafeKids Day

Bike rodeo, life jacket games, car seat checks, and more. The annual ‘summer safety fest’ at Seton Northwest aims to create fun while inspiring children to stay safe in a car, on two wheels or in the water. ARC physician Dr. Sue Shieh, Clinic Manager Alisa Jeffrey, and the ARC Seton Northwest team took part in the fun including handing out summer safety goodies.

Arthritis Foundation

So many Austin Regional Clinic patients suffer with the debilitating effects of arthritis. We are proud to support the annual walk hosted by the Arthritis Foundation at Concordia University. The event charitable event helps raise money and awareness for the prevention, control and cure of arthritis in the U.S.

Old Town Street Festival

The ARC Leander team was thrilled to support the city’s biggest event of the year, the Old Town Street Festival, which attracts 20,000 from all around Central Texas. The streets of Leander’s historical downtown were brimming with artisan booths, Texas bands, local food and more. It was a wonderful opportunity to have fun with our neighbors.

Hosted by Austin Mom’s Blog, THE media source for all things about and for moms, the Spring Mom’s Night Out aims to give expecting and new mothers a fun-filled, stress free evening. And it didn’t disappoint. The ARC Seton Northwest team was excited to help, offering baby and pregnancy tips and giving away fun items to the cheerful crowd.

21st Annual Buda Weiner Dog Races

Austin Regional Clinic was proud to support the amazing must-see event that brings people from all around Texas — the Buda Weiner Dog Races. If you’ve never attended, well, those Dachhunds can really dash! In addition to dog races, the festival, presented by the Buda Lions Club, also included kids games, live music and BBQ. It was the ARC Buda team’s first time at the event — and it’s one we certainly won’t want to miss in the future.

Founders Day Festival

Thousands gathered in historic downtown Dripping Springs to celebrate the city's heritage and pioneer spirit for the annual Founders Day Festival. The two-day event included a parade, live music, a cook-off and more. Austin Regional Clinic didn’t want to miss out on the fun. Teams from ARC Buda and ARC Southwest welcomed the crowds in a booth near main street.

Manor Heritage Festival

What do you get when you connect local Manor-area dancers and musicians — the Manor Heritage Festival! The entire community of Manor came out in denim and boots, ready to partake in the annual event hosted by the Manor Chamber of Commerce. Lake Travis Spring Fest

Hosted by the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce, the annual Spring Fest lives up to its theme — 'The BIGGEST time in the smallest town’. The ARC Bee Cave and ARC Wilson Parke teams greeted thousands of families from the Lake Travis community and beyond for a fun-filled day at the Hill Country Galleria.

ARC Cedar Park was thrilled to join the YMCA to support their national initiative to improve the health and wellbeing of children. At this year’s Healthy Kids Day hosted at Twin Lakes YMCA, families learned about ways to stay healthy during the summer and beyond. What a great way to kick off the summer.

Forever Fabulous

Spa treatments and health screenings — that combination is a ‘can’t miss’ event for the ARC Southwest Northwest team. Called Forever Fabulous, the annual event at the area hospital, is designed to promote women’s health and wellness and included body mass index measuring, acupuncture demonstrations, and more.
