Flu vaccinations are available at all ARC locations, with limited supply, at scheduled Flu Clinics and during regular appointments. We will update schedules and availability here: flu clinic schedules.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) continues to recommend "universal" flu vaccination, meaning that everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine each year. While everyone should get a flu vaccine each flu season, it’s especially important that certain people get vaccinated either because they are at high risk of having serious flu-related complications or because they live with or care for people at high risk for developing flu-related complications. It takes two weeks for your body to develop the protective antibodies and the vaccine lasts throughout the entire flu season. The 2012-2013 flu vaccine will protect against three different flu viruses:

- an A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
- an A/Victoria/361/2011 (H3N2)-like virus;
- a B/Wisconsin/1/2010-like virus (from the B/Yamagata lineage of viruses).
Getting your flu shot at ARC provides many advantages:
- We vaccinate all family members regardless of patient age or type of vaccine desired.
- We vaccinate our pregnant patients at their Ob/Gyn offices during their regularly scheduled visits – watch Dr. Moreno talk about the importance of flu vaccines for pregnant women
- We will file a claim with your insurance company for you. For questions about what’s covered & your financial responsibility call the Customer Service telephone number on your Insurance Card.
- We keep a record of your shots in your medical record for future reference by your physician.
- You can set up an appointment to receive other needed medical care at the same time as you get your flu vaccination.
- We provide flu vaccinations to ARC and non-ARC patients alike.
