New Novartis recommendation for Tekturna® (aliskiren tablets and aliskiren-containing combination products) Novartis informed Austin Regional Clinic physicians about important new safety information for aliskiren (Tekturna). Novartis advises that Tekturna alone or in any combination should not be used by patients with Type 2 Diabetes who are on certain blood pressure medications like angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB). ARC clinic staff is notifying each patient who is found to be in this population according to our records. more
