ARC accepts Medical Assistant students from affiliated schools. Currently that includes:

• The Everest Institute
• Austin Community College (ACC)
• Southern Careers Institute
• The Academy of Health Care Professions

Applicants selected for externship will be required to attend a half day of training. In addition, Program Coordinators will need to submit the following information to ARC prior to arrival at ARC:

• Proof of TB Test
• Proof of HEP B Test
• Proof of OSHA & HIPPA Training
• ARC Confidentiality Agreement

We do not currently offer externships for students who have completed the Medical Administrative Assistant or Medical Insurance Billing & Coding programs.

Interested applicants must contact their Program Coordinator to request externship with ARC and should not contact ARC directly. The ARC Recruiter will contact the applicant, if selected for an interview. At that time, the applicant will be required to complete an application and skills assessment.
