Austin Regional Clinic Provider Receives Special Award
June 25, 2011 - Susan K. Calloway, Ph.D. - Family Nurse Practitioner at ARC Far West After Hours Clinic, was awarded the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner’s Domestic Humanitarian Award at the annual AANP convention in Las Vegas, NV, on June 23, 2011.
Dr. Calloway was recognized for her contributions, including establishing a soup kitchen for the homeless, working with community stakeholders to reduce youth alcohol and drug use, and serving as a mental health advocate.
“Dr. Calloway has demonstrated an eye for unmet needs and an ability to make a difference,” said the AANP in presenting her award.
In addition to her position as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Austin Regional Clinic, Dr. Calloway is a faculty member at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY.
