AUSTIN REGIONAL CLINIC WELCOMES GARRY M. OLNEY, NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

 

imageJuly 6, 2010.   Garry M. Olney has joined Austin Regional Clinic as the Chief Operating Officer for ARC’s 18 clinics. His responsibilities will include clinic operations and ancillary services, strategic planning, and participation in establishing policy, strategy and direction for Austin Regional Clinic’s healthcare services.

Mr. Olney was previously the Corporate Vice-President of Patient Care Services for the Tenet Healthcare Corporation in Dallas, TX, where he was responsible for clinical and service programs. Prior to his role as a Corporate Vice President, Mr. Olney held the position of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer in several of Tenet’s California hospitals. Mr. Olney has served in senior leadership roles in healthcare for over 20 years.

Mr. Olney holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Medical College of Ohio/Toledo University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, and a Doctorate of Nursing degree from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the Texas Hospital Association, the American Organization of Health Care Executives, and the American Hospital Association/Federation of American Hospitals.  He is also an expert panel member for Healthcare staffing performance for the Joint Commission (formerly the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations).
