Austin Regional Clinic Donates H1N1 Vaccine to RRISD

December 4, 2009. Austin Regional Clinic has donated 3000 doses of H1N1 FluMist vaccine to the Round Rock Independent School District for its vaccine clinic for students and their siblings on Monday, December 7.

The Williamson County and Cities Health District has provided 1,100 doses of the H1N1 vaccine and 590 doses of the seasonal FluMist vaccine to RRISD. The district is providing the vaccines to RRISD students and their siblings, ages 2-18 years old, with some restrictions. (See www.roundrockisd.org for more information on the Flu Clinic.)

Austin Regional Clinic recently received a large shipment of H1N1 FluMist, which it has made available to all ARC patients who meet the vaccine guidelines.  “ARC has more than enough vaccine to immunize our patients who request it,” said Dr. James Merryman, President of ARC and a Family Medicine practitioner.  “We have busy ARC clinics in Round Rock and other northwest Travis and Williamson County cities, and we are glad to be able to donate vaccine to RRISD to immunize their students and siblings and help keep the population healthy.”
