ARC Gives Back to the Greater Austin Community
Austin Regional Clinic aims to support health care goals in the Greater Austin Community both by providing health care to individuals,and also by contributing to and participating in programs that focus on improving health conditions for EVERYONE in the community through medical care, screenings, research or education. ARC is proud to support the various local events and organizations listed below.
- April 2010ARC physicians and professionals continue to volunteer their services to countries in need around the world.
- March 17, 2010Margaret (Amber) Morgan, Au.D., CCC-A, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, provided hearing aids, equipment, and care for deaf patients.
- march 13, 2010Dr. Avis Meeks Day, presenter at a Girl Scouts Conference for girls in the 6th-12th grades, entitled: “In the PINK” – Promoting Increased Nutritional Knowledge.”
- February 9, 2010Dr. Missy Markley, interactive demonstration on heart health for 3rd graders at Austin International School.
- February 2, 2010Dr. Joseph Leary, Career Day event at St Louis Catholic School .
- January 23, 2010Dr. Sandra Worrell, Health Fair in Kyle.
- January 12, 2010Drs. Ross Prochnow and Jim Merryman, sports physicals, Webb Middle School. Most of the kids receiving these were unable to get physicals elsewhere, and are able to participate in sports only because of the efforts of the volunteer physicians.
