ARC Flu Update

Happy New Year! ARC is starting off the new year with a drop in flu cases, however, we continue to see cough, cold and respiratory illnesses. We are also just halfway through our usual flu season, and may still see the usual rise in seasonal flu cases over the next few weeks. more >

H1N1 FluMist Non-safety Related Recall

Today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and MedImmune announced a non-safety related voluntary recall of some of the nasal spray H1N1 influenza vaccine that was shipped earlier this fall. All Austin Regional Clinic medical offices have removed all affected H1N1 FluMist vaccine. Flu clinics will continue as scheduled. more >

Sanofi Pasteur has notified the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Federal Drug Agency (FDA) about a voluntary recall on their H1N1 pediatric vaccine due to reduced potency after delivery.  more >
