Osteoporosis ScreeningBone Density and Osteoporosis

Low bone mass and osteoporosis are a major public health threat for an estimated 34 million US women and men aged 50 and older.

Keep Bones Strong with Early Detection
Osteoporosis is not part of normal aging although many people continue to believe this is true. Low bone mass and osteoporosis are a major public health threat for an estimated 44 million US women and men aged 50 and older. Austin Regional Clinic encourages early detection of low bone mass for men and women. We offer full-body bone densitometry exams at our Far West and South 1st locations, and heel screenings at ARC Medical Park Tower.

If you or someone you know is at risk of developing osteoporosis, a bone density screening is recommended to detect bone loss. Always check with your doctor first.

Risk Factors:

This is not aging, this is osteoporosis.
